Addington Valley Academy is a co-educational special school specialising in autism and complex needs and addresses the social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs of pupils aged 2 – 19.
This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how students perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.
At Addington Valley Academy we specialise in providing a high quality learning environment, curriculum and specialist support for students with autism, and a range of complex needs.
A significant proportion of students who attend Addington Valley Academy will be required to engage with a programme of therapeutic support.
At Addington Valley Academy we want all of our students to feel a part of both the school and the wider community.
We work closely with our families so they feel very much involved in their child’s development and are able to continue the support outside of school.
Positive behaviour at school is rewarded with fun postcards and there are five for you to collect.
You will get a ‘well done’ postcard when you display one the following qualities:
You will receive the cards through the post, so your achievements can be shared and celebrated at home as well as at school.
