New alumni page showcases life after AVA

By AnneMarie - June 16th, 2026 | Posted in Article

We are delighted to launch our new Alumni page, celebrating the achievements of former students and highlighting the exciting pathways they pursue after leaving Addington Valley Academy.

At AVA, student outcomes are at the heart of everything we do. Through a curriculum designed to develop skills for life, employability and Preparation for Adulthood, we support every student to take their next steps with confidence. Our new Alumni page provides an opportunity to showcase the journeys of former students and the positive destinations they have gone on to achieve.

The page currently features updates from former students who have progressed to college, work experience placements and community volunteering opportunities. Their stories demonstrate the many different routes available after school and the lasting impact of the experiences, skills and relationships developed during their time at AVA.

The launch of the Alumni page reflects our school vision of leading practices, partnerships and heart. Through leading practices, we prepare students for successful futures by developing independence, employability and life skills. Through partnerships, we continue to celebrate the connections between AVA, colleges, employers and community organisations that support our students beyond school. Most importantly, we lead with heart, remaining proud of our students’ achievements and welcoming many of them back to share their experiences and inspire the next generation.

We are incredibly proud of everything our former students achieve and look forward to continuing to grow the page with more success stories in the months and years ahead.
