Progress and Attainment

Mapping and Assessing Personal Progress (MAPP) is the tool by which we assess and record progress towards personal learning intentions for our students. It provides a way of recognising lateral progression; we know that our students do not necessarily progress up an attainment ladder, but instead follow their own path to success.

It is vital that learning is secure, independent and maintained over time and circumstance. We therefore assess students learning across 4 key areas;

  • independence
  • fluency
  • maintenance
  • generalisation

Assessment is evidence based and rigorously moderated both internally and externally. The Evidence 4 Learning online platform allows us to document learning, identify next steps and ensure that students are always working towards their own, personal long-term outcomes.

Please refer to our Assessment Policy for more information.

The progress my son has made is phenomenal, we couldn’t be happier.

We feel very lucky that he is in this school.
